Obama’s State of the Union

I just finished listening to Barack Obama’s State of the Union Speech for the third time. My desire is to nitpick at each little thing that he said; to pick it apart like a piece of my mother’s fried chicken… but to do so would be monotonous and just as frazzling as listening to it three times in a row. There are political pundits that are much more astute in there criticism of the speech than I will be… yet this is America… and this is the internet, so here is my two cents worth of a humble opinion.

First: President Obama tried desperately through patriotic “oprah-ized” rhetoric to play the heart strings of the fiscally hurting people of America. As the grieving tone of his voice uttered soothing words to irritated pocket books one could almost hear the man from Arkansas’s sweet southern phrase, “I feel your pain” echo in the halls of congress. The past hope that was so prolific on the campaign trail was resurrected but yet it fell short. We have had a year of this administration and action has been demanded… yet action has not been delivered. Only when fiscal results are hard to find do we hear the platitudes of liberal “compassion”.

Second: As the President laid out the sorry story of the economically hurting people of America… he submitted four points that will help bring America back onto the road of fiscal recovery: 1. Serious financial reform, 2. Encourage American innovation, 3. Export more of our goods, 4. Invest in the skills and education of the people. Notice… these four things happen by the control of the government. The verbiage spewed by the president was not about how great the American people are but how weak they are and how they need government to help them. Many were worried that Obama would shift to the center and play the “Right” Card and act like a conservative. Yet, he did not. He did a “Head Fake” to the center but he didn’t move there. Governmental control is at the heart of his political philosophy and was not absent in his speech.

Third: There was a defining silence on the war, world affairs & terrorism. With the Christmas day bombing still fresh on the minds of the American public, he gently glossed over that pesky war on Terror. He also didn’t mention the tragedy of Fort Hood or the albatross of Guantanamo Bay. He did have a little to say about the Haiti earthquake, but yet in all, world affairs and our security were shallow to non existent. I frankly can’t blame Obama… this is his weak spot and he doesn’t want to tarnish that perfect political persona that many have been hoodwinked by.

Fourth: After a year of frenzied pushing of government controlled health care down our throats, there was a break in the clouds of doom. His time spent during the speech on the subject of Health Care was trivial. The amount of Health Care propaganda that has been sent out to America has been overwhelming and also contributed to its death, yet in tonight’s speech… it was almost nil.

In closing, Obama’s speech was nothing spectacular… no matter what the pundits on MSNBC say. Also, this president is turning out to be nothing spectacular. Let me quote the late Socialist Historian Howard Zinn, who died hours before the State of the Union. In his last public & published comment… he talked about Obama.

Howard Zinn said: “I' ve been searching hard for a highlight. The only thing that comes close is some of Obama's rhetoric; I don't see any kind of a highlight in his actions and policies… I expected him to be a traditional Democratic president…. I think people are dazzled by Obama's rhetoric, and that people ought to begin to understand that Obama is going to be a mediocre president--which means, in our time, a dangerous president--unless there is some national movement to push him in a better direction.”

When the State of Massachusetts and Howard Zinn turn on a Socialist President within one week.. then you know that the Democratic Party & its President is in trouble. Zinn is right, he is going to be a dangerous president… yet the movement of Conservatism will hopefully push him into a better direction in 2012… which will be his humble home in Chicago.

Third Party Politics: A Misguided Passion

During the fall of 2000, I was walking out of a local grocery store when I saw the notorious Green Party across the street. The energetic & uber liberal Green Party volunteers were holding signs, cheering and eliciting support of their fearless leader and Presidential candidate, Ralph Nader. The Green Party supporters were increasing due to popular liberal support from the likes of actress Susan Sarandon & her husband Tim Robbins as well as disillusionment with the Democratic Party over radical leftist ideology.

I was so excited when I saw them, that I just couldn’t contain myself. I proceeded to walk across the street and personally encourage them in their valiant effort. I met the local head of the green party and handed him a small donation to cover some of the costs of the hand made signs. I told him that day, “The cause of the Green Party is a noble one and needs to be voiced. Keep it up.” He smiled and I said my goodbyes to the supporters.

Now, if you think I am a Green Party member, you are wrong. I am a die hard conservative! You might be asking, “Why then did you give them support and actually give a donation for there cause?” The reason why I did that was simple. I knew that if more people voted for the Green Party, the Liberal “Third Party”… the more votes would be taken away from the Democratic Party. Support for a Third Party will only harm the political party from which it comes and it will bring victory to its opposition.

The 2000 election was the closest in American history. After many recounts, Bush was named the winner and became President of the United States of America. The reason why Bush won is simple…. There was a very popular third party candidate: Ralph Nader of the Green Party. If there was no Green Party running, if there was no Ralph Nader running, Gore would have been our President.

This is one of the many reasons why Third Party politics in America does not help a cause, it only harms it.

America is a two party country made up of Republicans & Democrats. These two parties have existed in one form or another since the beginning of our nation. The Constitution of the United States did not create this but Americans created it. It was birthed by the political philosophies of our founders. The day that Thomas Jefferson looked across the room at Alexander Hamilton and said, “YOU'RE WRONG” was the first day of the two party system and it has been that way since!

The concept of a third party comes from a disgust of how the Republicans or Democrats are running things. It usually comes from the fringes of the party, either ultra conservative or ultra liberal. Third party people want changes made, but are unsuccessful or have a feeling of hopelessness in having there political philosophy initiated within their own party. So in turn they desire to form there own breakaway party, with the hopes of progressing their political agenda. There are around 38 “third party” options in America which pull a small but weighty percentage of the vote. The three biggest third party names are the Green Party (Liberal), Constitution Party (Conservative), Libertarian Party (morally liberal & fiscally conservative).

Over the past months there has been an increasing call within the Republican Party for another third party to arise… a Tea Party, so named for the successful and effective demonstrations of the summer. There intentions are well placed and are supported by many, including myself. Going out and protesting and joining those who are part of the Tea Party movement is a noble and important cause that all conservatives should be a part of.

Yet to break away from the Republican Party would be a disaster for the political conservative philosophy that is held by those who call themselves Tea Party members.

If the Republican party is split, and the conservative base leaves, it will guarantee a Liberal governance in America for decades. The Conservative voice will be muted and the votes of Republicans and Tea Party loyalists will be worthless.

Politics is all about power. Those who hold the power make the changes. Unfortunately we are seeing that now in Washington. In order for us to change our country for the better and bring back freedom and personal liberty to the people we must have the power. The power will slip through our hands if there is a split in the Republican Party. What good is conservative ideology if we do not have the political power to initiate it?

For Example, out of the three major “third party” contenders, has any one of them seen there political philosophies initiated? Has their passionate goals been achieved by their third party stance? Absolutely not!

There are those who say, with passionate voices, that to stay in the Republican Party would be a compromise of our values and our conservative philosophy. This view is simply a pathetic way of badgering conservative patriots to leave the Republican Party.

The call should not be for exodus, but for reformation! There needs to be reform in the Republican Party. The passionate voices of the third party need not leave, but stay and reform the original. Don’t change political parties, but change the minds of Republican moderates & liberals. Debate and win them over to the right, don’t turn tail and run. Now is not the time to leave, now is a time for restructuring!

This is done through debate. This is done through the primary vote. This done through political funding. We must vote out those who are R.I.N.O.’s (Republican In Name Only). We must not give money to the Republican National Committee if they choose to support non conservative Republicans. We must not vote for non Conservative candidates as a protest. True conservative patriots must become part of the heart of the Republican Party.

Have you ever heard of Ross Perot?

He was the third party candidate that ran during the 1992 presidential election. The votes that he took away from George Bush cost the Republicans the election and made Bill Clinton President. Where is Ross Perot today? Is he a big time political power house? Is he a political force to be reckoned with? No… Mr. Perot runs a political web site and gives political endorsements that no one pays any attention to. He has gone the way of the political “dodo”. A flash in the pan, puffed up by the political opponent for their own political goals. The liberals will indeed support the conservative third party. They will call them patriots and true Americans. They will push them and encourage them to take and stand and start a new party. They will do this only for their own good and for there own liberal cause. They know… as much as I knew that day in 2000, that support of a third party will bring a political cause to a stand still.

I do not want this for the Conservative ideology. I do not want this for the Republican Party. Let us reform the Republican Party, let us fight for true conservative values to be the heart and the soul of it. Let us not cut off our own nose to spite our face. Remember that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

Being Truly Political

A couple of months back I sat down to watch the Saddleback Church Civil Forum. The main attraction that night was to watch Senators Barak Obama & John McCain speak on the same stage for the first time. The nation was abuzz! Yet, when Pastor Rick Warren came on stage to kick things off that night… he made a comment that a lot of people didn’t catch. Most Americans, including the press, was focused on his, “cone of silence’ comment. Yet the comment that stood out the most, for me, was this: “Now in America we gotta learn to disagree without demonizing each other. We need to restore civility in our civil discourse” (the quote can be heard in the following youtube clip at 1:44)

When I heard this, I just shook my head. Why?

There has NEVER been civility in the American political civil discourse. There has always been the art of political demonization within the American political spectrum.

Those who engage in politics will take on the nature of politics, which is to dominate and to be the victor. Politics is a fight. It has been said that politics is a blood sport and there is no other definition that is more adequate. The fight is not with pillows or feathers but with verbal clinched fists and vocal baseball bats. Politics is about winning not about finding common ground or civility. Any politician who has a soft tone and a gentle demeanor will become road kill on Pennsylvania Ave.

Hasn’t it always been this way?

Thomas Jefferson encouraged his friend James Madison to publicly and politically attack Alexander Hamilton. Jefferson said, “for god's sake, my dear Sir, take up your pen, select the most striking heresies, and cut him to peices [sic] in the face of the public” This is the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence!!! Jefferson also used pamphleteer James Callender to politically assault Alexander Hamilton to expose an affair he had with a married woman. Then Mr. Callender switched political teams and then began to attack Thomas Jefferson. His most famous attack was to expose an incident where Jefferson allegedly fathered a child with a young black slave girl named Sally Hemings who was owned by Jefferson.

This is just one example of the political fighting that has raged through the history of our great nation. Every president, every senator, every representative and every political appointee from the birth of America until now has participated in the brutal world of politics.

The Civil War is another example of the vicious nature of politics. The political argument over states rights versus federal rights concerning slavery boiled over from the halls of congress to the green fields of America. In the end, the north and the federal government won the political dispute.

Nowadays we see the likes of Pastor Rick Warren, Senator Harry Reid, President Barack Obama saying that we need a restoring of “civility in our civil discourse.”. How can we have a restoring when it was never there to begin with! Demonizing of the political rival is par for the course.

If civility is put into politics it would be the first time ever in American history, yet to do so is impossible. Why? The nature of politics and the nature of mankind will not allow it. Remember, the core of politics is to win, it is to be victor… it is to rule. Politics is not civil… it is rude and pushy.

We as Americans, people who converse about politics and those who are political need to realize that true politics are cruel. When we realize this we can adequately address the issues, fight it out and then put into practice those things which have won the day. Those who have lost can lick their wounds and seek victory in the years ahead.

So if you are political, don’t be ashamed of being brash or vocal. For those of you who are passionate about your political ideals… be opinionated, be dogmatic. Fight it out! Speak up! Because in so doing you are being truly political. ~ The Republic’er

Tomorrow It Begins

Tomorrow the fight starts.

Obama will have to go on the record now. He can’t dodge. He can’t vote present. He can’t abstain. He must go on the record. We know what he is and now we will know more as the days go by.

If I was a liberal, I would be shaking in my organic shoes right now. You’ve got something to prove, but you know you can’t do it. Everything you stand for is weak.

You own it all… The House, The Senate, the White House… its all liberal controlled. NOW… do what you do best. Be yourselves… and watch what happens. God help us… but America will survive the stupidity of the next 4 to 8 years.

I can’t wait… lets pick a fight!!!

Counting Your Money by the Glow of a Mushroom Cloud

Remember when Bill Clinton was running for his first term? He had a great team in the persons of Paul Begala (The Forehead), George Stephanopoulos (The Greek) and James Carville (The Ragin’ Cajun or what we like to call him here at The Republic’er, The Bottom of the Bijou).

The mantra and the slogan for that whole campaign was, “It’s the economy stupid”.

Is it still the mantra for this 2008 political season? Fox News reported that according to an Opinion Dynamics Corporation poll that was conducted by telephone of 900 registered voters from August 29 to August 30 that the most important issues to voters this season are as follows:

The Economy: 23%
The War in Iraq: 14%
Terrorism: 12%
Health Care: 11 %
Immigration: 9%
Gas prices: 8%
Social Security: 7%
Ethics in Washington: 6%

If you exclude the numbers for the war in Iraq, only 12% of registered voters consider terrorism to be the most important issue! That means around 64% of the American voters consider domestic policies to be the most important issue in this year’s election. This fact really knocks our socks off!!!

How is this possible? What are people thinking?

We must think about this logically. First of all, there is still a terrorist threat! Many liberals say from their puny bully pulpits that there is no terrorist threat for America. If there is no more terrorist threat for America how then can you explain the terrorist threat worldwide? Terrorist actions happen around the world constantly. Roadside bombs, suicide bombers, mass shootings, bulldozer rampages and much more. That is just in other countries, yet what is stopping those acts of terrorism to come to America once again? Yes, there is a worldwide terrorist threat, and we are quite naive if you think that we are untouchable. If we think that it won’t happen again, then we have the same attitude that we had before 9/11.

Secondly, this proves that the American public is self centered and only focused on money. Instead worrying about being killed by terrorist they only care about their money. This is so sad. The bigger picture only revolves around a person’s purse or wallet. The public is selfish, and that selfishness can possibly ruin America.

The most important issue that faces America today is stopping global terrorism. Terrorism affects everything! If we don’t stop terrorism there will be no need for an educational system because our children will be dead or forced to learn in a madrasah. If we don’t stop terrorism there will be no need for health care because we will be slowly dying from a dirty bomb explosion. If we don’t stop terrorism there will be no need for a better economy because how can one spend money if he or she is dead. The American public must get its priorities straight.

The reason why Obama is up in the polls is because the Economy is on the forefront of people’s minds. They believe that Obama will bring the economy back. What use is the Economy when there is still an enemy who wants America dead or converted to Islam?

Barack Obama might rescue the economy, he might bring financial security (we strongly doubt that) yet he might do it, but what difference does it make if B.O. does or not? He will not stand against Terror and he will not stop the spread of radical Islam.

Even Smokin’ Joe Biden said the following about Obama:

“Mark my words: It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy… The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“He’s going to have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s going to be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s going to happen,”

Just based upon this quote, why would you want to vote for Obama? If we vote for B.O. we put a gigantic target upon America once again. Islam will rise up and strike us, with the knowledge that they will get away with it.

Yet, if you excuse these facts, and busy yourself with counting your own money then you will be earning money by the glow of a mushroom cloud over that house that you bought with an affordable mortgage.

Richard Simons & Mr. Powel

This isn’t a shock to those who are conservatives. Colin has always been a “left” leaner for some time. For him to come out and say that he supports Obama is like Richard Simons coming out and saying that he’s gay. Its not that much of a shock and we all have known it for some time.

The Lib media wants to puff this up so that Obama looks better and to get away from his “Joe the plumber” crack which has hurt Obama Camp.

Three things real quick about this endorsement.

First: He’s always been a liberal. Note the early pull out in Gulf War I and policies while Sec of State.

Second: He can finally escape the label of an “Uncle Tom” for being in a Bush administration.Now, in the mind of Liberals, he can be a real “black man” Sickening but true!

Third: For years they have called him a moron for his conservative policies, now all of the sudden, he is a “very wise man” What Liberal Hypocrisy!!!!

This doesn’t faze the McCain Palin Ticket what so ever! Nice Try.

The Return Of Huey P. Long: Barack Obama

There was a professor that said, “history does not repeat itself, but it does have a tendency to rhyme”.

During these days of the election cycle of 2008 we see a familiar stanza that is bouncing off of the media’s dense forehead into the ears of millions of Americans. It is the words of a young community organizer turned senator, Barack H. Obama.

His ideas seem new and fresh, yet when we look over our shoulder and gaze into the past we see a clone of the lawyer from Chicago. His clone is a lawyer from Louisiana named Huey P. Long.

A cutthroat state politician who was more crooked than straight. He achieved the governorship of Louisiana and controlled that state with an iron grip. He was elected to the Senate and still controlled the Pelican State from his seat in Washington DC. The “Dictator of Louisiana” turned his eyes towards the White House but was struck down by an assassin’s bullet in 1935.

His major political campaign was called the, “Share the Wealth Campaign”. Here are some clips of what his “Share the Wealth Campaign” was all about.

Huey Long was accused of being a socialist. We here at the Republic’er agree whole-heartedly with that historical assessment.

Yet, what about Mr. Obama? Is he the next Huey Long? The next clip sheds light on that question.

Obama said the magic phrase from the 1930’s!! “Spread the Wealth Around!!!

We Americans are faced with another Huey Long in the person of Barack Obama. He will pave roads, bring overreaching government programs to the people, and take money from the rich to give to the poor. He will be a socialist knight in shinning armor. Yet as he is placing penny’s into the hands of the poor he will shackle their wrists and place them into a government of dictatorship. When the government supplies you with everything they also are in a position to own you.

Remember the words of Joe Biden when asked about Taxes… it is our patriotic duty to pay taxes!!! It is our patriotic duty to share the wealth!!!

Beware of the policies of the past that come back to haunt us. The voice of Huey Long speaks to us from the grave and it echo’s from the mouth of Barack Obama of Illinois.

Sasquatch, Alien Abduction & Obama’s Tax Plan

There have been many people that swear up and down that there is a smelly, hairy ape like creature that lurks in the woods late at night. There are those who swear that they have been abducted from their beds by alien beings. And there are those who swear that Barack Obama will give a tax cut to 95% of working families. These people who believe in Big Foot, Aliens and Obama Tax Cuts are people who need a lot of love, care and psychiatric observation.

The last democratic president to give a tax cut was John F. Kennedy.

Even though the Democrats hate this clip… JFK was absolutely right! Unfortunately the Democratic Party will not return to this reality of lower taxes and more money in the pocket of the people.

Instead of delivering tax cuts they now just promise a tax cut of some sort so that they may obtain more votes. Bill Clinton in 1992 promised a tax cut to the middle class. Then a year later in 1993 he said that he had no clue where the press got that from and proceeded to institute the largest tax hike in American history.

Now we have B.O. He is promising the greatest tax cut in American history!!! Now do we believe him? Absolutely not! Remember who he is! He is a Liberal Socialist Democrat. They have never passed up a Tax Hike and they have never passed up a fight against a Tax Cut.

Then the liberal media comes in and starts dancing around like a bunch of ants on a hotplate, touting website like factcheck.org which says that Obama will give us this tax break. Our beef with “fact check” is this… they are not called “truth check”. Yes, it is a fact that he promises a tax cut, but he will not do it. Not in a million years. Something will be manufactured by the Liberals to prevent it

So if you are a firm believer in the B.O. tax cut… then be sure to check the woods for that hairy creature and be sure to stay awake to protect yourself from space invaders. The B.O. tax cut is a piece of mythology and a stunt to get a vote. ~ The Republic'er

What To Do If A Liberal Gets In Your Face

The other day B.O. (Barack Obama for those of you who are not up on the lingo) said the following:

Now, if one of these “ambassador” disciples of the his holiness, the one and messiah Barack Obama gets in your face and begins to argue with you… what should you do?

The following is a checklist on what you should do.

1. Don’t Be Scared. Remember whom you are talking to: a liberal Obama supporter. That fact speaks volumes concerning their mental stability and their depth of intellect.

2. Count To Five. Why? Just in case your first reaction is to beat the ever-lovin crud out of them. Cool down and don’t strike because they might take legal action. You know how they love to sue!!!

3. Offer A Breath Mint. Liberal breath can reek from the constant butt kissing that has been performed on the French, Arab Terrorists and the U.N.

4. Get A Big Smile On Your Face And Laugh At Them. Make them realize that the things they are spewing are ridiculous. Let them feel like the clowns they are.

5. Get In Their Face. Never back down from a liberal who decides to front you off. When you do this they will realize that they just picked on a person their own size, actually a person bigger than themselves. Get a mean look on your face and raze your voice for the conservative cause. Get ready to deliver a verbal woopin’.

6. Unload On Them. Every fact, every scandal, every speech, every quote that you have learned about the Obama-nation… just let it fly. Bring up the factual dirt as well as just the facts. Bring up EVERYTHING on Obama. Freak the person out with your own knowledge of this two-bit hustler from Chicago.

When we do this, they will shut up and will never dare get in our face again.

Barack Obama’s Big Oops

Have you ever made a mistake? We sure have. After you made it, do you just sit back and think how stupid you are? Of course we do. Well, B.O. is having one of those moments.

Remember in the opening scene in the movie the Untouchables where Chicago mob boss Al Capone is answering questions from the press while getting a shave?

Everyone is laughing, Al is laughing, the barber is laughing and then, oops… the barber cuts Don Al while shaving. An uneasy hush falls over the intimate crowd. After Al Capone said it was alright, things went on. In a round about way, Obama has cut the Clintons and an uneasy quiet has settled over the political barber shop.

You see, Hillary Clinton is not your average junior senator from the great state of New York, she is a political boss, the head of the Clinton Machine that controls many a mind, many an opinion and many a dollar. She has been wounded; she has been cut by the young upstart from the Dailey Chicago Machine.

Because of the insult to the Clintons, there will be hell to pay. True, Bill & Hillary Clinton has thrown their support behind Obama yet they seem to be the only ones. There is a growing minority of very influential people who are slowly making there way to the McCain - Palin ticket. These “democratic influentials” carry with them many votes. Today for example BFF of Hillary: Lynn Forester de Rothschild threw her support to McCain. If you are confused, Yes… it is Rothschild Rothschild!!! So close was there relationships to the Clintons that her and her husband spent part of their honeymoon at the White House during the Clinton administration. Also John Coale BFF of the Clintons and husband to Greta Van Susteren has made a defection as well to the McCain side. When you watch this clip from Newsweek you will hear the shocking promise that there will be more people of democratic influence to make a break from Obama and join McCain.

We wonder if Obama comes home after a long day of reading teleprompters and sits down with a cold beer and thinks to himself, “How stupid am I?” We wonder how many times Michelle has kicked him in the rear for not kissing up to the Clinton Machine?

You don’t cross a family as powerful as the Clintons. It would be like spitting in Al Capone’s face in front of his own mother. You just don’t do that to the Clintons. Support from the Clinton big cheeses has been given to Obama yet behind the gilded door there is a smoke filled room where the Godfather theme music is gently being played in the background. Barack Obama has performed the biggest oops of his carrier, insulting Hillary. A large minority or a small majority of voters will make the break to McCain – Palin and that will make the difference. Obama may loose this close election because he did not pucker up, and kiss that big fat mafia pinky ring on “Don” Hillary’s hand. Oops!!!

Barack Obama Community Organizer and Jesus Christ

Ok… something has really gotten under my skin concerning the Obama Campaign rhetoric. Yes, unbelievably, something has perturbed me!!! I have heard it said many times before and also by two liberal political figures in the past few days. One is Donna Brazile on CNN and the other is some liberal congressman yahoo on the House floor. The phrase is this: “Jesus was a community organizer and Pilate was a governor.” This was in response to Sarah Palin’s (and Rudy Guliani’s) attack on B.O.’s time as a community organizer.

FIRST!!!! Jesus was not and never was a Community Organizer! He was and still is the Son of God, the Savior of the World, and God in the Flesh. Not a loud-mouthed community agitator/ organizer. The job of Jesus was to save the world from their sins and restore humanities relationship with the Father, the Creator. His goal was not to heal; to feed, to educate… it was to die on a cross so that sin may be washed away and man kind reunited with its creator.

SECOND!!!! When you say that Jesus was a Community Organizer you are in a round about way saying that Obama is on the same level as Jesus. HA HA HA HA HA!!! Give me a flippin break. Hey, I have been on a political bandwagon and I understand strong support for a political candidate… BUT… don’t put him on the same level as GOD!!! Good Grief!!! Obama is just a two-bit political hack from the Chicago/ Daley Democratic Machine, not the Savior of the World.

THIRDLY!!!! B. Obama needs to get out of the Kitchen, he can’t take the heat from an intellectual Hockey Mom/ Governor from Alaska… neither can his supporters. If B.O. thinks that he is being persecuted or crucified, think again… its just politics!
